    Phase 1 Free Release

    This document is intended for final release review, support preparation, and WordPress.org listing alignment.

    Free-version limits

    • The free version supports up to five assistants.
    • The free version uses a bring-your-own-API-key model and does not include AI credits.
    • Site owners are responsible for third-party AI provider billing, availability, usage policies, and model behavior.
    • Each assistant supports one URL or one uploaded knowledge file in the Phase 1 build.
    • Knowledge grounding is local and lightweight; it is not a full vector-search, crawling, or recurring sync system.

    Premium roadmap modules not included in Phase 1

    The following modules are intentionally excluded from this free release candidate:

    • Multi-URL and multi-source training knowledge.
    • Sitemap crawling and scheduled source sync.
    • Lead capture integrations.
    • CRM sync.
    • Human escalation notifications.
    • Centralized multi-site usage reporting.
    • Agency controls.
    • Business OS license verification and feature flags.

    These modules should be added later through gated premium features and explicit opt-in SaaS communication.

    Privacy and support boundaries

    • Visitor messages, assistant prompts, enabled knowledge content, and conversation context are sent to the selected AI provider when a chat response is generated.
    • Conversation logs are stored locally in WordPress database tables.
    • Admins should review the WordPress Privacy Policy Guide content and update their site policy before going live.
    • Site owners should not collect sensitive personal data unless their provider agreements and privacy policies permit it.

    Launch positioning

    This Phase 1 release is intended to build reach, trust, and lead generation. Premium differentiation should come from automation, scale, SaaS power, centralization, CRM integrations, and human escalation workflows rather than artificially limiting the free product.

    Premium Execution Boundary

    Premium execution must be unlocked through Freemius entitlement checks and the existing SupportZiip feature-gate helpers. Future Business OS communication must remain explicit, opt-in, authenticated, auditable, and gracefully degraded.
