AI support automation for WordPress teams with premium workflows, local records, and responsible integrations.

== Description ==

SupportZiip Standard turns a WordPress AI chatbot into a support operations layer for agencies, WooCommerce operators, SaaS founders, and service teams.

Use it to build branded assistants, route conversations across supported AI providers, ground answers with approved knowledge sources, capture leads, detect escalation needs, send events into connected tools, and understand where customers get stuck. The premium package is designed for teams that want more than a chat widget.

The free WordPress.org build remains the local-first baseline. This premium package is distributed outside WordPress.org through the approved PayZiip-ready owned licensing upgrade and update channel. Premium execution is gated by entitlement checks, while local records, export tools, delete tools, and baseline functionality remain accessible as appropriate.

= Best fit =

* Agencies managing support workflows across client sites.
* WooCommerce stores that need sales, support, and escalation assistance.
* SaaS and service businesses that want AI-assisted customer operations.
* Support-heavy WordPress sites that need lead capture, routing, and visibility.
* Founders preparing for future centralized Business OS workflows.

= Premium capabilities =

* Up to Expanded assistant workspace.
* Claude and OpenRouter provider foundations.
* Per-assistant provider and model controls.
* Fallback provider and model routing for response redundancy.
* Premium knowledge-source foundations for PDF and CSV files.
* Multiple URL sources per assistant.
* Knowledge-source status tracking and sync logs.
* Conversation Analysis Engine for recurring questions, knowledge gaps, sales intent, escalation patterns, and improvement suggestions.
* Slack, Zapier, Notion, and generic webhook integration foundations.
* Lead Capture & CRM foundation with consent-aware records, duplicate handling, export/delete tools, and sync logs.
* Human Escalation foundation with triggers, notifications, status workflow, and escalation dashboard.
* Assistant Deployment Rules with page/category targeting, WooCommerce placements, exit intent, timed popup, scroll-depth trigger, and one-widget-per-page handling.
* Premium documentation and priority support positioning.

= Local-first and privacy-aware =

SupportZiip Standard stores core operational data locally in WordPress. Business OS/SaaS communication is disabled by default. Cloud communication, when added or enabled, should be explicit, authenticated, auditable, opt-in, feature-gated, and gracefully degraded.

Configured integrations such as Slack, Zapier, Notion, and webhooks only send data when a site admin enables and configures them. Site owners remain responsible for their AI provider accounts, third-party integration settings, privacy policy disclosures, and customer data practices.

= PayZiip-ready owned licensing distribution =

PayZiip-ready owned licensing manages the premium checkout, account, license, and update flow. The free WordPress.org build should remain useful without a paid license. Premium automation, SaaS-heavy capabilities, advanced routing, reporting, and paid templates should require a valid premium entitlement.

== Installation ==

1. Install the free SupportZiip baseline from WordPress.org, or install this premium package through your PayZiip-ready owned licensing or owned-site premium download flow.
2. Activate SupportZiip Standard.
3. Complete the PayZiip-ready owned licensing license/account prompt.
4. Confirm existing assistants, settings, conversations, leads, escalation records, knowledge sources, and logs remain available.
5. Open Premium Onboarding and follow the guided launch checklist for providers, assistants, knowledge sources, lead capture, escalation, integrations, and deployment.
6. Test each assistant on the frontend before sending visitors to it.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Should this premium package be uploaded to WordPress.org? =

No. This package is for premium distribution only. Premium-only functionality should stay outside the free SVN-distributed WordPress.org codebase.

= Does SupportZiip Standard send data to SupportZiip cloud automatically? =

No. Business OS/SaaS communication is disabled by default. Integration calls only occur when a site admin explicitly enables and configures a specific integration or future cloud connection.

= Are AI credits included? =

No. SupportZiip uses a bring-your-own-provider model unless a future paid cloud plan explicitly includes managed AI usage. Site owners are responsible for their OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, OpenRouter, or other provider billing and policies.

= What happens if a premium license expires? =

Premium execution should be blocked or shown as read-only where appropriate. Local admin data, export tools, delete tools, and baseline local records should remain accessible.

= Does SupportZiip Standard remove free data? =

No. The premium build is designed to preserve existing assistants, settings, conversation logs, leads, escalation records, knowledge sources, and local records.

= Is this a workflow automation platform or only a chatbot? =

SupportZiip Standard is moving toward an AI-assisted support workflow platform. The chatbot is the customer-facing entry point; the premium value comes from routing, knowledge workflows, lead capture, escalation handling, integrations, analytics, and future Business OS centralization.

== Changelog ==

= 1.0.16 =
* Fix: premium display triggers (timed popup, scroll depth, exit intent) never fired because the widget script called a missing function, which also logged a console error on every page with a widget. Triggers now open the widget once per browser session and never override a visitor who opened or closed it.
* Chat widget: bot replies now show basic formatting (paragraphs, line breaks, bullet and numbered lists, bold, italics, inline code and http/https links) instead of raw asterisks and backticks. Replies are HTML-escaped before formatting, so no markup from the AI provider reaches the page; links open in a new tab with rel="noopener nofollow".

= 1.0.15 =
* Parity with SupportZiip Lite 1.5.10 (WordPress.org).
* New assistants are created active, so their shortcode renders right away.
* Fixed .txt, .md and .csv knowledge uploads rejected on servers that report them as plain text; extension, size and contents are now validated before upload.
* Plugin Check: documented the read-only notice flag on Conversation Logs.
* Docs: removed stale internal version references from the description.

= 1.0.14 =
* Fix: every SupportZiip admin screen except the dashboard rendered blank. The legacy "Admin Skin" cleanup script matched the outer WordPress admin container when page text contained the words "Admin Skin" and "Switch to Dark", and removed it. Cleanup now only touches short, isolated controls inside the SupportZiip content area and never removes WordPress layout containers.

= 1.0.13 =
* AI credentials: SupportZiip no longer stores AI provider API keys. Keys resolve through WordPress Connectors (Settings > Connectors, WordPress 7.0+), a wp-config.php constant, or a server environment variable (OPENAI_API_KEY, GOOGLE_API_KEY, ANTHROPIC_API_KEY, OPENROUTER_API_KEY).
* Keys saved by earlier versions move into Settings > Connectors automatically on WordPress 7.0+ and are removed from SupportZiip only after the replacement is confirmed.
* Registers an OpenRouter connector when no other plugin provides one.
* Added an uninstall handler. Data is kept by default and removed only when "Remove data on uninstall" is enabled or SUPPORTZIIP_REMOVE_DATA_ON_UNINSTALL is true.
* Fixed: Settings could not be saved on sites without SupportZiip Lite ("options page is not in the allowed options list"). The Standard package now registers its own settings and license forms.
* Fixed a fatal error path in Growth Hub redaction (missing SupportZiip_Redactor::redact()).
* Raised the minimum WordPress version to 6.2 to match the identifier placeholders used in database queries.
